Introduction to Judaism (2023) Registration

Class Information


Introduction to Judaism is an engaging 18-session course for anyone who is interested in exploring Jewish life through a Reform lens!

Open to all, this course is great for interfaith couples, those raising Jewish children, spiritual seekers, folks considering conversion, and Jews who want a meaningful adult Jewish learning experience. We will learn about Jewish holidays, life cycle celebrations, theology and core Jewish beliefs, Israel, Hebrew and prayer, the Torah and other sacred texts, and more.

This course will be taught on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 PM from January to June. It is free for Temple Shaaray Tefila members, $360 for each non-member household. We hope you'll join us!

Classes will be held on the following dates: 1/18/23, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/29, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/17, 5/24, 5/31, 6/7, 6/21, 6/28. The course will be led by Rabbi Jill Rubin, with other Temple Shaaray Tefila Clergy as guest teachers.

Payment Information:
This course costs $360 per household for non-member households, and is free for members. Those in long-term, committed partnerships are encouraged to join the class together. By registering, you are committing to the intention to fully attend all 18 classes.

Please note that each household will also be expected to independently purchase three textual resources which will cost around $70 per household.
