GENERAL FUND
A gift to our General Fund goes where it is needed most, be it our programming, worship services, learning opportunities, and other areas that support our mission.
 
RAISE THE ROOFTOP
Our exciting project to renovate the roof of the building is underway. It has an eye towards the nursery school population with a new play structure and interactive musical play space and will also be designed as a place of gathering for the entire temple community, including adult programs and private events.
 
ANNUAL APPEAL
The 5784 Annual Appeal is our largest fundraiser of the year. The donations we raise go directly to support the temple. We are grateful to everyone, both within our synagogue membership and beyond our walls, who has contributed to the Annual Appeal, affirming the importance our community places on Jewish tradition, values, and continuity.
 

BACKPACK BUDDIES
End childhood hunger one backpack at a time. We provide food for 50 children to eat every weekend throughout the year. Your donation helps purchase the food.
 

BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE
Honor the memory of your loved one in a booklet available during the High Holy Days.
 

ADULT EDUCATION LECTURESHIP FUND
Supports speakers, lectures and expenses for adult programming.
 

SPECIAL MUSIC PROGRAMS FUND
Supports musical events at the discretion of the Cantor.
 

RABBI JONATHAN STEIN CAMP SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Supporting our families seeking financial assistance to send their children to URJ summer camps.
 

RABBI HARVEY M. TATTELBAUM RELIGIOUS SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS

THE ALTFEST WOMAN’S EDUCATIONAL FUND
To support educational programming for women.
 

THE JENNIFER BETH ASCH FUND FOR CHILDREN'S ENRICHMENT
For books, music, and theater for children of any age.
 

THE SALLY & ERNEST PINTER YOUTH ENDOWMENT
Scholarships for our youth to participate in youth programming, NFTY weekends & conventions, TaSTY programs and NFTY Israel programs.
 

THE SAXL EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE FUND
For teaching materials in our nursery school, religious school and adult programs.
 

THE DEBBIE SHALITA MARMOUR NURSERY SCHOOL ENDOWMENT
Provides tuition assistance to families registered in our nursery school and who are in financial need.
 

IN HONOR OF CLERGY
Celebrate a family B’nei Mitzvah, wedding, or birth with a gift in honor of one or more members of our clergy for supporting you in your family’s milestone moment. Please chose from the Discretionary Funds below. 
 

THE JILL & CHARLES NECHEMIAS ISRAEL FUND
Israel related programming and education for our temple youth.
 

SANDWICH SATURDAYS
We make sandwiches to feed hungry New Yorkers. Your donation helps purchase the food.
 

SOUP KITCHEN
Every Wednesday, our volunteers make and distribute bagged lunches to 120 New Yorkers in need. Your donation helps purchase the food.
 

YAHRZEIT MEMORIAL PLAQUE | ($1,800)
Honor the memory of your loved one with a bronze Yahrzeit Plaque in our Sanctuary. The light next to each plaque is lit each year on the anniversary of your loved one’s death and on major festivals. Note: Yahrzeit Plaques have a 12 week production time.
