DISH: A conversation with Olga Sakhno

Join Olga Sakhno, a community anchor and the heart behind Keuka Wine Bar & Kitchen in Forest Hills and Yorkville. Born in Leningrad, USSR, Olga's earliest memories of Jewish life were formed in the warmth of the kitchen, watching her grandmothers turn food into comfort, joy, and connection.

For Olga, the kitchen is where secular tradition meets enduring identity. From a restaurant delivery service launched in 1995 to establishing Keuka as a community comfort station through turbulent times, she has been dedicated to feeding people's bodies and souls. We'll hear from Olga about how she cooks to cope and bring solace, especially during times of stress, and how she continues her grandmothers' legacy of spreading love, joy, and warmth through food.

As her grandmothers would say, "Lomir a bisl noshn" (let's have a little something to eat).

Olga will be bringing two savory snacks and one sweet to our gathering.
